Run to the Sun 2008

The odds were stacked against us this year after making the decision to move sites we had to move back to the slightly water logged original field, so on the afternoon of wednesday 24th Myself and Ooo$it hired a water pump and brought some wellies and set about draining the gate way to the field.
As you all saw we managed to get the gate way clear and on friday morning people started to arrive, friday night saw two magnificent bands Isolysis and Beholder take the stage and rock master Endo entertained untill the early hours on the decks.
Saturday after a cold start to the day the sun arrived the afternoon saw silly games hosted by Mistress and a Bikeshow.
The evening came and all the cowgirls,cowboys,indians and showgirls came out to play two more bands take to the stage King Nothing and Van Hooligan.
Thanks again to all involved in making this years Run to the Sun the bast to date.

Run to the Sun 2008

All the plans are falling into place we have had to move feilds again due to the one we were on last year flooding and still even after several dry days still having alot of water on it. We're back on the original site at Catton Hall for the rally the same one that Bloodstock was on.

Run to the Sun is on we've had a few phone calls asking if its been cancelled due to the weather the answer is definately no, looking forward to partying with you all.

Whats going on this month?

This weekends(sept 5th - 7th)is going to be a quiet one probably.
Then the 12th - 14th is thw last wolf rally.
THE BEST RALLY THERE IS FOR A TENNA! Thats what they say but I beg to differ I know of one at the end of september thats equally as good.(I'm taking of Run to the Sun)

1st Hop and Barley Rally

The 1st Hop and Barley Rally held at Shobnall sports and social club Burton on Trent.
There was a good turnout for this nabd rally. Well don to the Unwanted MCC for helping put this event on.

Wozwolf Rally

I'm so tired 4 days of ralling its a hard job but someones got to do it. I enjoyed the long weekend relaxing/partying and chillin with my friends old and new. The Wozwolf worked hard as usual to put on a great rally, the real ale bar just ran out of supplies on the sunday night. Entertainment was good Beholder played the Thursday, Ballroom Glitz Friday, Mentallica Saturday and WL/DC on the Saunday.

Well done all Ribcrackers who attended this rally we got 2nd in the club turnout.

Whats happening?

Alots already happened in April one of the major events is Mistress Vicky passing her bike test the whole clubs please about this after years of challenging gravity shes eventually passed the 125 test and thanks to Fish and Steve she now has a 600 eliminator ready to go nnext week after the restriction kit is fitted.
We're having a club night out in Derby on the 25th to see livewire at the assembly rooms this doubles as a birthday celabration for Jessica as well.
On in to May the weekend of the 9th - 11th some of us are off upto Masham for a weekend of culture in the yorkshire dales plenty of blacksheep and Thekstone's will flow.
May the 17th is the Ribcrackers 1st Ugly Bug Ball at Lumb Farm usuall ribcrackers nonesense etc.
30th May - 1st of June PIL rally at Weston on trent.

Weather looks like holding of can't belive its snowed at easter and its cold.

Coming Up In Feburary

Well thats January out the way coming up in Feburary on Saturday the 16th its that time of year hope you've got your Wacky Racing karts built we'll be up at Lumb Farm all day for your entertainment, soap box racing from lunch time ish onwards all karts get two atempts and the average of the two atempts is taken as the final result. Then in the evening its the Valentines party Rock and Roll 50's theme.

The week after the lads are off up to the Scottish boarders for the Thistle Rally which is sold out looking forward to this one as usual.

Moddey Dhoo Late Xmas Party.

A Great weekend away after a bit of a problem getting there forgot my passport lucky I had my Costco card with me after all its a photo ID which is all you need for the Isle of Man, a passport or photo driving licence would have been easier.
The flight over was good arriving on the Isle of Man roughly on time where we were met off the flight by Nettie(Dizzygoth) and a couple of other members of the Moddey Dhoo accomodation and transport was laid on for everyone who wanted it all weekend.
The friday night was good plenty of O'kells ale and good chat in The Swan hotel in Ramsey.
Saturday afternoon skipping the morning which was spent dossing around and after a solid breakfast cooked by Ian we went for a quick look around the Island going to the Joey Dunlop tribute on the Mountain section of the TT coarse. Then over to Peel for an afternoon pint where most of the guests were found sampling O'kels fine ales.
Saturday night saw the main party I can't remember the name of the place it's all to fuzzy after too many double JD and cokes buffet band disco and a raffle then a quick take over of the disco by Nettie and Mistress saw the party finish in the early hours.
Sunday morning thank god we decided to get the tea time flight. Flight back was uneventful managed to get to Lumb Farm for our sunday get together.

First Post

Not much to shout about yet in 2008 we're having a quiet start for the first couple of weeks, off to the Isle of Man at the end of the month for the Moddey Dhoo late christmas party.
It'll soon be time for the soapbox derby on the 16th of feburary.
